Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ability to understand and adhere to all state laws and regulations as well as having a passion for education is also a MUST
- Ensures children are supervised at all times using active supervision
- Acts as a liaison between the children and parents addressing problems and answers regarding the children
- Creates a stimulating environment for the child by conducting developmentally appropriate activities
- Encourages classroom participation and positive interaction with other children
- Redirects undesirable behavior to promote positive socialization.
- Responds to children’s verbal and nonverbal indications of need and/or request.
- Prepare weekly lesson plans which follow a cohesive theme
- Provide proper daily documentation pertaining to children and classroom
- Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
Qualifications/Requirements:
A successful candidate must be able to adequately perform each essential duty, and have the following education and experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- 30 college credits including 12 credits in Early Childhood Development from an accredited College or University or CDA
- A minimum of 1-year childcare experience in a daycare setting
- Ability to acquire 1st aid CPR child abuse and communicable disease training within 30 days of hire
- Able to lift 35lbs
